First of all, I would
like to welcome you to our new website! I would like to
first thank Western Pennsylvania photographer Derek
Bobik for providing the picture for the home page. It
is very much appreciated! The news section of this new
website is going to be more like a blog that you may
have seen on other racing websites (such as dirtfix.net).
I look forward to writing concise first person updates
weekly to keep you on track with team activities and
results. We have also updated the bio section, photo
pages, and sponsor section accordingly.
The past few months
around the AWR stable have been very busy! We have been
working hard to develop our newly formed fabrication
business, building our computer designed Wylie Race Car
chassis, and keeping a day job! Even with the busy
schedule, we have continued to race two nights a week,
recently with the FASTRAK NE touring series. We are
pleased to say that our on track performance is
improving, mainly due to the increased seat time.
Running twice a week gives me a good opportunity to
learn more about the car, and how to adjust my driving
style in the different conditions. We all think it has
been extremely beneficial.
The next few weeks will
be very busy for our team. We plan to attend the Sharon
Speedway on Wednesday July 28th for a FASTRAK
NE touring race in conjunction with the WOO LM Series.
We will then pack up for Eldora Speedway in Rossburg,
Ohio for the “Chassis Challenge” on July 31st.
We will continue to take each race as a learning
experience, and expand our teams’ knowledge. Our entire
team is confident that our first win in the series is
right around the corner!
